McIlorum ban appeal thrown out

Wigan hooker Michael McIlorum‘s appeal against a three-match ban has been thrown out by the RFL Disciplinary Committee.

McIlorum, 24, was banned for a reckless high tackle on Anthony Laffranchi during Wigan’s defeat against St Helens on Friday.

Having failed in his appeal, McIlorum’s only chance of featuring in the Super League play-offs is if the Warriors lose against Catalan this weekend, but still go on to make the Grand Final at Old Trafford.
