McGuire to miss Wigan clash

Leeds stand-off Danny McGuire will miss Friday’s play-off semi-final against Wigan, but would be available for the Grand Final should the Rhinos make it.

McGuire, 29, was cited for a reckless high tackle on Louis Anderson during Leeds’ 27-20 win over Catalan last week.

Super League‘s top try scorer pleaded not guilty to the offence, but was handed a one-match ban also fined £300 by an RFL Disciplinary Tribunal.

Meanwhile, Hull back-rower Joe Westerman was handed a one-match ban for a high tackle during their defeat against Warrington on Saturday.
