McGuire set to return for Leeds

Leeds are set to welcome back stand-off Danny McGuire for their Super League play-off game against Wakefield on Saturday.

McGuire, 29, has been missing since suffering a knee injury in the win over Widnes last month, and missed the Challenge Cup final defeat to Warrington.

He returns to the line-up ahead of schedule, while there is also a return for hooker Shaun Lunt, who missed last week’s clash against parent club Huddersfield.

Ian Kirke has also been cleared to play, after being knocked out in a collision with Luke O’Donnell in the defeat to the Giants.

McGuire has scored 18 tries in 18 Super League games this season, and has scored 18 tries in 22 career appearances against the Wildcats.
