McGuire awaits disciplinary verdict

Leeds stand-off Danny McGuire will find out tomorrow whether he will be able to play in Friday’s play-off semi-final against Wigan.

McGuire, 29, has been charged with committing a Grade B high tackle offence on Louis Anderson during the Rhinos’ victory at Catalan on Friday, which carries a suspension tariff of 1-2 matches.

Super League‘s record try scorer missed the Challenge Cup final against Warrington through injury, and a two-match ban would also rule him out of the Grand Final, if Leeds make it.

Hull’s Joe Westerman and Catalan forward Jamal Fakir have also been charged with Grade B high tackle offences, and will appear before the RFL Disciplinary Committee, with McGuire, tomorrow evening.
