Former Super League player Ryan McGoldrick is auctioning his rugby league talents off on eBay as he tries to prolong his career.

McGoldrick, who played for Castleford, Hull FC, Salford and Oxford in England, has put himself up for sale at the starting price of $2.

In a posting on the eBay website, the utility wrote: “You are bidding for the playing services of a used (234 games) but well maintained rugby league player. Played a variety of positions but now most probably suited to the halves.

“I have had 6 previous owners (Cronulla Sharks, New South Wales Waratahs, Castleford Tigers, Hull FC, Salford City Reds and DPC Roosters) and am now looking for a new owner. I have been serviced regularly and come with a full service history (google).

“Am currently based in the Northern Rivers region of NSW but as postage and housing is at buyers expense relocation is possible. So the bad bits…. In the past I have been known to not see eye to eye with the odd referee and my judiciary history is quite extensive however as I have gotten older those problems are now behind me.

“Oh and the game payment does not include after match refreshments :). Bidding price is per game for the 2016 season.”

McGoldrick has three years in the NRL with Cronulla before moving to join Castleford in 2006. He spent seven years at the Junle before signing with Hull FC.

McGoldrick spent time with Salford and Oxford before returning to his native Australia. He also made two appearances for the US national team.

Most recently the 35-year old has been serving as captain-coach of the Lower Clarence Magpies in the Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League competition in NSW.

At the time of writing McGoldrick had attracted 11 bids, the figure rising to £21. You can bid here.
