McFadden Joins Catalans

McFadden, 28-years-old, will leave his current position as the Raiders’ Prmier League coach to join the Catalan side on a two-year contract, filling the vacancy left by the departure of Paul Donkin.

"Andrew's signing will be a boost for our coaching staff and his experience and dynamism will help the club in 2007," said Catalans chief executive Nicolas Rayer.

McFadden will arrive in Perpignan in the New Year, and will be part of a new-look coaching staff looking to help the Dragons climb the league ladder after last year’s bottom-placed finish.

Frecnh international stand-off Laurent Frayssinous will become kicking coach after his retirement from playing, while Rodney Howe will take over the conditioning role from Matt Adamson.
