McDermott handed two year ban

A national anti-doping panel has suspended Barrow Raiders forward Brett McDermott for two years after he was found guilty of breaching the RFL’s anti-doping regulations.

The veteran forward was found to have provided a sample containing the prohibited substances Drostanolone and 19-Norandrosterone, which are Anabolic agents.

The anti-doping panel have found him guilty of an anti-doping violation and imposed a two-year ban on the former Whitehaven and Workington forward.

McDermott’s suspension commenced on the 24th March 2011.
