Max Wiper will be at Barrow Raiders in 2016, after it was confirmed that the back has signed a one-year deal with the club.

A Barrow native, as well as a former Salford Under-20s player, Wiper has been at the Raiders since 2013.

He scored five tries in 14 games in 2015, a campaign curtailed by a knee injury.

“We are very happy that Max decided to stay. He is a great member of the squad, he puts his heart and soul into every game he plays and we think he is a fantastic addition,” Barrow Raiders joint director of rugby Mike Sunderland said, according to the North West Evening Mail.

“He has been with Barrow for a while and as a board and Cresta (Raiders coach Paul Crarey) we are really happy that he has signed back on.”
