Mauro leaves Salford

Salford City Reds have released former Manly forward Vic Mauro by mutual consent and he returns to Australia after six months in England.

Mauro, 26, joined the Reds alongside Liam Foran ahead the 2013 season and has made nine appearances scoring two tries.

The two-time Italy international has decided to follow former Sea Eagles teammate Foran in returning to Australia who left last week after a similar stint at the Salford City Stadium.
