Matty Gee to make Hull KR debut against Castleford

Drew Darbyshire

Hull KR will give a debut to forward Matty Gee against Castleford on Thursday.

The Robins are down on numbers in their forward pack with Harvey Livett (concussion), Robbie Mulhern (suspended), Weller Hauraki (ankle) and Mose Masoe (neck) all ruled out.

Gee played on dual-registration for Dewsbury last week but he is set to play his first competitive game for the Robins when they host Castleford on Thursday.

Hull KR coach Tony Smith said: “Matty is champing at the bit.

“These injuries are not ideal but they do provide an opportunity for our younger and emerging players to gain valuable experience and show what they can do.”
