Matthew Wright banned while Stan Robin cleared of spitting

Newcastle star Matthew Wright has been handed a four-match suspension, while Toulouse half-back Stan Robin has been found not guilty of spitting.

Wright, 28, has been given a four-match ban by an independent tribunal as well as a £75 fine after pleading guilty to a Grade D high tackle charge during their recent League 1 defeat to Doncaster.

The Samoa international has scored eight tries and kicked 12 goals in six games for Thunder so far.

Meanwhile, Toulouse star Robin pleaded not guilty to a Grade E charge of spitting in their recent Championship win over Featherstone.

The France international was found not guilty at a tribunal and will not face a suspension.
