Mathers back for Wakefield

Richard Mathers has been included in Wakefield’s 19 man squad to take on Hull FC in the fifth round of the Tetley’s Challenge Cup on Friday.

The Wildcats’ vice captain had been out since the defeat to Wigan last month after suffering a ruptured testicle and injured ankle.

Wakefield have made a few changes in the team to face Hull, with Paul Sykes dropping out and prop forward Justin Poore is to keep his place after rolling his ankle in the game against Catalans. Former Hull man Reece Lyne is to be replaced by Matty Wildie.

The Wildcats will be looking for a fourth consecutive victory.
