Castleford have confirmed that Nathan Massey has signed a one-year contract extension until the end of the 2015 season.

Massey, 23, is a product of the Tigers’ Youth Development System who has rose through the ranks since joining aged 15.

The prop said that he is thrilled to extend his stay with the club that he feels is home.

He said, “I’m over the moon to sign a 12 month extension to my contract with the club.

“I’ve never looked for another club as I’ve never wanted to leave, I’ve got a young family, my partner is happy where I am and she loves the club too so I’m really delighted.

“Discussions on extending my contract started before Daryl (Powell) was appointed at the start of May. Luckily when he came in he said that he wanted to retain me which was brilliant.”

Massey made his debut for the Tigers in 2007 and has gone on to play over 60 Super League games for the club.
