Willie Mason is on his way to Tonga to secure the passport that will allow him to play for the Catalans Dragons this season.

Mason’s on-again, off-again move to Catalans appears to be on again, with no NRL lifeline being thrown to the veteran prop who played for Manly last year.

The 35-year old Australian posted on social media two days ago that he was on his way to the Pacific country. Mason needs to get a passport to meet the Dragons’ foreign quota.

The former NSW and Kangaroos forward would be the French club’s ninth signing ahead fo the 2016 season.

Mason’s last stint in Super League ended abruptly with Hull KR.
