Halifax coach Richard Marshall oversaw the allocation of his club’s new squad numbers this week, and the process means that he has taken a fresh look at his players.

He is very pleased with the way that his squad looks as it prepares for the 2016 campaign, with the players numbered who are numbered 1 to 17 looking a very strong Championship team.

“It’s a very strong 17, there’s no doubt about that,” said Marshall, according to the Halifax Courier.

“If Gareth Moore is fit and playing on top of his form, I think he’s a starting half back, but Ben Johnston did a great job for us this year and deserves a place.

Miles Greenwood is coming back after a serious injury, but we also know that if he’s 100 per cent and playing well then he’s going to be very difficult to leave out.

“Mitch Cahalane and Jacob Fairbank were both really good for us, Adam finished the year in good form and Gavin Bennion and Ryan Maneely should both offer us a lot.”
