Marsh wary of Warriors threat

Widnes three-quarter Stefan Marsh is relishing the chance to tangle with his former club, when the Vikings travel to Wigan next week.

Widnes have an extra week to prepare for the clash, with Wigan playing Cronulla Sharks in the World Club Challenge this weekend.

“It’s going to be a tough game,” Marsh told the Vikings’ Youtube channel.

“We know that they’re going to tackle hard, and they’re always big up front.

“We’ll have to work on our contact this week in training, and hopefully we can get the win when we go there.

“You always want to to do well when you go play against to your old club, and Wigan are a great club.

“Last year, we did the double over Wigan at their place, so hopefully we can go there and do it again.

“We’ll have a big week in training, this week and next week, and with the week off, hopefully we can go into it having prepared well.”
