Former Great Britain international Mark Calderwood has signed for community club Farnley Falcons, who are currently playing in the Yorkshire Men’s League Division Four.

The 34-year-old played for England in the 2008 World Cup, and won the 2004 Grand Final during his time with Leeds Rhinos.

As well as Leeds, Calderwood also played for Wigan, Hull FC and Harlequins RL during his professional career.

He also plays rugby union during the winter for West Leeds RUFC

A Farnley Falcons club spokesperson said: “Mark proved to be a great asset to the club in his previous spell, and we are excited to have him on board once again in 2016, as we look to achieve our goals this year.”
