Mariano set for first Tigers appearance of 2015

Frankie Mariano has returned to a Castleford Tigers squad for the first time this season, ahead of his team’s trip to Warrington Wolves on Monday.

The back rower, who recently declared his eligibility for Scotland at international level, has been named in the 19-man sqaud by coach Daryl Powell, along with Will Maher, another who is yet to appear this season.

“We have a few players that can potentially step in. Frankie Mariano is going to be available, for the first time this season, so we’ll try and freshen it up a little bit but ultimately the vast majority will be walking out on to the grass again,” Powell told his club’s official website.

“I don’t think we have any injuries I think that we are okay. Jake Webster took a knock on the head so he might be out but apart from that I think that we are okay.”
