Hull have been dealt a triple injury blow with the news that Marc Sneyd is set to join half-back partner Albert Kelly on the sidelines, while Jordan Abdull has been ruled out for three months.

Abdull, 22, suffered a broken leg in the defeat at Catalans and underwent surgery on Friday which will keep him out for 12 weeks, while Kelly suffered a hamstring injury in the same game that will rule him out for at least four weeks.

Sneyd is set to have a scan on a knee injury which saw him leave the field early in the second half against Castleford on Saturday.

In an update, head coach Lee Radford confirmed the player will miss Hull’s trip to Featherstone Rovers in the Challenge Cup, who sit third in the Championship table.

Prop forward and England international Scott Taylor will also miss Thursday’s fixture with a shoulder injury which he knocked on their victory over Castleford.

Radford told the club’s official website: “Jordan has his surgery on Friday and everything went well. He’s in pot now and on the road to recovery.

“(On Thursday) We’re likely to play with the pairing we finished with on Saturday with Carlos Tuimavave and Jake Connor in the halves.”
