Melbourne have signed front-rower George Rose from Manly on a one-year deal.

Rose, 30, will join at the end of the year, and is due to play for the Sea Eagles in their NRL play-off against South Sydney on Friday.

Storm Director of Football Frank Ponissi said the club respects Manly’s season is still going and will make further comment on Rose’s signing after the Grand Final.

“We are really delighted George has signed with the club, he will add great depth to our forward pack,” Ponissi said.

“We respect that Manly is heading into a preliminary final this week and look forward to welcoming George to the club after the Grand Final.”
