Man of Steel shortlist announced

Three players have been short-listed for the Super League Man of Steel Award: James Graham, Brett Hodgson and Adrian Morley.

Saints prop Graham is the reigning Man of Steel, and if he is given the title again it will be the fifth year it has been awarded to a St Helens player.

The Man of Steel Award is for the player who has made the biggest impact on the season and is voted on by all engage Super League players.

Huddersfield full back Hodgson is in his first year of Super League having joined the Giants from Wests Tigers, and has already been named as Rugby League Writers’ Player of the Year.

Warrington prop Morley captained the Wolves to a Challenge Cup victory over Huddersfield at Wembley, the club’s first cup win since 1974.

The Man of Steel dinner takes place in Manchester on Monday 5th October, and includes other awards such as Coach of the Year, Young Player of the Year and the Mike Gregory  “Spirit of Rugby League” award.
