Lyon in doubt for Manly

Manly veteran Jamie Lyon is one of two injury doubts for the premiers ahead of next weekend’s elimination final.

Lyon limped off with a calf problem early in the Sea Eagles’ 16-10 preliminary final defeat to Canterbury at ANZ Stadium on Friday.

The 30-year-old centre will undergo scans today before having a full injury examination on Monday.

There is also concern for forward Joe Galuvao who suffered a similar injury, although the Sea Eagles will have to wait to hear on the availibility of Jason King and Steve Matai.

Both were placed on report for second half high tackles on Aiden Tolman and Sam Perrett respectively.

“We’ll bounce back next week,” coach Geoff Toovey told the Sea Eagles’ official website.

“There’s no problem there. We’re a really positive bunch of boys, we know what we need to do.”
