Centre Reece Lyne has signed a new two-year contract extension with Wakefield.

The new two-year contract extension will see Lyne stay with Trinity until the end of the 2019 season.

The centre, who joined Trinity in 2012 from Hull FC on a three-year deal, has made 91 appearances and scored 26 tries.

Lyne saidL “I am delighted, it is great to be able to get it tied up.

“It was a pretty straightforward decision and the negotiations were short, my intentions have always to stay here, it is a club that makes me feel at home and I am happy here.”

Wakefield chairman Michael Carter said: “It is fantastic that Reece has signed a new deal to stay with the Club.

“I think people forget he’s still only 24 with his best football still in front of him because he’s been around for so long.

“Reece has played 90 games for trinity and I look forward to seeing him play many more. He is an outstanding young man.”
