Bradford Bulls captain Andy Lynch hass signed for Hull FC after the club agreed to release the prop forward from the final year of his contract.

The 31-year-old, former Super League Dream Team pick, has made over 200 appearances for the Bulls since joining them in 2004.

Andy commented “It has been a great honour to be part of this great Club and to lead it on the field. I have had some great times and made some friends for life.

“However after Hull FC made enquiries to Bulls about my availability I think the time is right and will be beneficial to all parties that I take up their offer of a two year contract. I am really grateful to Peter Hood for agreeing to release me. I wish him and Bradford Bulls the best for the future.”

Bulls Chairman Peter Hood stated “I should like to recognise Andy’s many years of unstinting service to the Club both on and off the field and to wish him well for the future.”

Hull FC Director of Rugby Shaun McRae is delighted to have landed the former England and Great Britain International:

“Andy is a terrific professional and a player who has been at the top of his game throughout his career.

“He can look back on his time at Bradford as a very proud man where he has led from the front as captain and claimed numerous awards for his consistently high standard of performances over the last seven years.

“We are delighted to be able to bring a player of his undoubted calibre and experience to our club, that will have an affect on and off the field, as well as adding some real value to a now blossoming front row.”
