Castleford Tigers completed their third signing of the week with Peter Lupton agreeing to a new deal that will keep him at the Jungle this season and the following two years. Peter has been on loan at the Jungle since the beginning of May but his stint with the club was due to come to an end after Sundays match at Huddersfield. However the Tigers were keen to keep him on board for the rest of this year, and beyond, and are very pleased to have secured his signature on this new deal.

Peter has played at both half back and loose forward in his time with the Tigers and Coach Terry Matterson feels that he has played a big part of the Tigers improved performances. "Peter fit straight into our set up and I feel that we have been good for each other", said Matterson. "We needed a player like him and it's no coincidence that since he came here our performances improved. His arrival has been a factor. "Peter enjoys it here at the club and coming from the same club, he works well alongside Danny Brough which has been a bonus."

Peter himself said: "I'm very pleased to have settled my future. I have really enjoyed my spell at the club, I feel that it is moving in the right direction and I'm happy to have signed a long-term deal."
