Lunt and Hodgson out for Giants

Huddersfield hooker Shaun Lunt has been ruled out for up to a month with an Achilles injury.

Lunt, 23, has been in fine form after being handed the number nine shirt for the 2010 campaign but picked up a knock in the warm-up to Sunday’s 38-10 win against Crusaders.

However, coach Nathan Brown was relieved the injury wasn’t more serious. He said: “It’s going to be around three to four weeks for Shaun Lunt, which is certainly not as long as we first feared.

“Obviously it’s not ideal, but with the length of time it’s not a tragedy for us.

“You’d always like to have all your players fit and healthy, but with Brad Drew coming back and Luke Robinson playing great we feel like we have the cover there to do really well.”

Huddersfield are also without Warrington-bound full-back Brett Hodgson, who had a scan on a thigh strain yesterday which ruled him out for a month.
