Hooker Joe Lumb has agreed to a new three-year deal with Bradford, tieing him to the club until 2019.

The 19-year old graduated from the Bulls Academy at the end of 2015 and made his debut away at Swinton Lions earlier in the season.

He scored his first professional try for Bradord at Dewsbury Rams in the Challenge Cup.

Since then the hooker has featured in another three games, including starts away at London and Dewsbury.

“I’m really please to have signed a new contract with the club,” Lumb said.

“The step up from the Academy to the first team has been a big challenge but I feel I’ve grabbed it with both hands.

“Making my professional debut for the Bulls was a big milestone and signing a new deal is the next chapter of my career and I’m really looking forward to it.”

Bradford Bulls managing director Steve Ferres said: “We are delighted to have secured the services of Joe for another three years.

“Joe is a tremendous young talent and we held off some Super League clubs to keep hold of him.

“He has progressed brilliantly from the Academy into the first team and hopefully he will have a bright future ahead of him at the club.”
