Issac Luke will miss South Sydney‘s NRL opening round clash with the Roosters through suspension.

Luke took an early guilty plea to a grade one contrary conduct charge at the NRL judiciary and will miss one match.

The New Zealand international was punished for running into the back of referee Jason Robinson during last weekend’s Charity Shield defeat to St George at ANZ Stadium.

It was the first game back for Luke since his suspension for twisting the leg of England‘s Rangi Chase during the Four Nations tournament.

Luke will attract 112 points meaning he will miss one game with 12 points carrying over.

Meanwhile, team mate Eddy Pettybourne will be available to play against the Roosters despite pleading guilty to a grade one careless high tackle on St George centre Chase Stanley.
