South Sydney forward Luke Burgess is one of three players to agree a new two-year deal with the Rabbitohs.

Burgess, 26, who is among a quartet of brothers at the Rabbitohs, has agreed terms for the 2014 and 2015 seasons along with utility Chris McQueen and rookie back-rower Kyle Turner.

Prop Burgess has made 28 appearances in Rabbitohs colours since joining his brother Sam at the club from Leeds in 2011.

Brothers Tom and George signed for the club later.

McQueen, meanwhile, has almost 50 NRL matches under his belt and was a member of the Queensland Emerging State of Origin squad this pre-season.

Turner, 21, has earned himself a full time NRL contract after progressing through the Rabbitohs’ Toyota Cup side and impressing during recent trial matches.

Rabbitohs Head Coach Michael Maguire was full of praise for the trio.

“All three of these guys have been part of what we’re building at the club, and I’m looking forward to continuing to work with them at the Rabbitohs,” Maguire said.

“Both Luke and Chris have become seasoned first graders in our team, and Kyle has been developing in our junior ranks and has a shot at playing first grade this year.

“They’re all valuable members of the squad and good people, and we’re glad that we can reward them for their hard work and dedication with contract extensions.”
