Charges of assault laid against Wests Tigers star Robert Lui have been dropped, the club have reported.

Lui, 21, was arrested and charged by police for an alleged assault against his partner in September last year.

But after appearing at Burwood Local Court, all charges against Lui were dismissed.

Tigers Chief Executive, Stephen Humphreys said: “ Today’s court decision brings a welcome end to a difficult period for Robert and his partner, Taleah.

“They can now continue to build their life together along with their recently born son, Matthias. They would also like to thank all of their family and friends for the support they’ve received.”
