Bradford Bulls coach James Lowes was very pleased with his team after they thrashed Workington at the weekend in the fourth round of the Challenge Cup.

The Bulls won the game 74-6 at Odsal, progressing comfortably to the fifth round of the competition.

“I was very pleased with the win, we fancied our chances at home and it was important to get through to the next round,” Lowes told his club’s official website.

“They came down to play and had a good go at us, though. I thought they showed great enthusiasm throughout the course of the game.

“The manner of the win was especially pleasing for me. You get rewarded for the work you put in and, after a tough start, where Workington threw everything at us, we racked up some good scores.

“We finished the first half in a good way and we finished the game well too.

“They tired and we had to be patient at times. But when they did tire we took our chances very well.”
