Hunslet have re-signed Scotland international Neil Lowe for the 2013 season, and confirmed the release of seven players.

Lowe, 33, has been granted a testimonial by the RFL following a disruptive 2012, when he underwent two knee operations in 2012.

Head Coach Barry Eaton said: “Neil is a player that can create things that can not be coached and we know we can benefit from his contributions when he is fully fit and he is determined to look towards having a very strong season to finish his career on a high note.”

Lowe, who was restricted to just eight appearances this season, has previously played for Featherstone, Salford, Doncaster, York and Keighley.

Meanwhile, the Hawks have confirmed the release of former York winger Dennis Tuffour, prop Ryan Benjafield, experienced back-rower Richard Blakeway, ex-St Helens junior Ben Karalius, prop David Tootil, young hooker Joe Parkinson and utility forward Joe Pickets.

A statement added: “The club would like to thank all seven players for their services to the club and we wish each of them the very best for the future.”
