Lovell earns new Broncos deal

London Broncos have handed a new two-year deal to Will Lovell.

Lovell, 25, is a product of the Broncos academy and was given another chance to impress at the start of this season, and was an ever-present in the early stages of the campaign when they topped the Championship table.

He said:  “I’m really happy to have re-signed for London again. The club has been a big part of my life growing up and so the decision was an easy one when Danny Ward spoke to me.

“I’ve really enjoyed playing this year and cannot wait to get back out there in time for the next competition whether that be the shield or the Super 8’s.

“I really want to help the club back to where I believe they belong and that is in the Super League.”

London can secure their berth in The Qualifiers with a win at Barrow this weekend.

Coach Danny Ward said: “We are really pleased to have Will commit two more years to London Broncos.  A product of the Broncos Academy, Will is a popular member of the club and a very good professional.

“He is a decent size human being who was consistently performing well for the team before picking up his recent injury.  Not only a squad member, Will is a valued part of our community team who are doing some fantastic work in the local schools.”

Lovell made 33 appearances for the Broncos in his first spell at the club, before spending two seasons with London Skolars.
