Australian comedian and presenter Adam Hills will present the Super League coverage on Channel 4 in 2022.

Hills will present the new coverage of the sport on Channel 4 in 2022. He will be joined by Helen Skelton throughout the season.

Channel 4’s live coverage begins this Saturday, February 12, as Leeds host Warrington at Headingley Stadium.

Hills and Skelton will be joined by Danika Priim, Leon Pryce and Sam Tomkins as pundits in the first live match this weekend.

Hills said: “I love rugby league. I’ve been a fan since I was three days old, when my Dad brought a South Sydney Rabbitohs toy rabbit to the hospital for me.

Presenting rugby league for Channel 4 will be a childhood dream come true. I intend to play the role of an excited fan, asking loads of questions to the experts alongside me. Hopefully I can relay the passion, the excitement and the inclusive nature of the game to the viewers.”

Meanwhile, Leeds prop Mikolaj Oledzki believes Channel 4 showing Super League is a massive boost for the game.

He said: “It is a breathe of fresh air for the fans, the lads that play and for the sport.

“We’ve got an amazing product which is great to watch. It is a shame that not everyone gets to watch at home because of certain reasons or they can’t come to the game, but Channel 4 now offers everyone the opportunity to see rugby league for what it is and how good of a sport it is.”
