Long hops from league to union

Former St Helens legend Sean Long has made the switch from rugby league to rugby union by signing for Preston Grasshoppers.

The 35-year-old, who has won every honour in the rugby league code, will play for the Grasshoppers in the National League Two North division and is expected to make his debut against Hull Ionions on November 19th.

Sean’s brother, Karl Long, also had a stint with the Grasshoppers as well as featuring for Whitehaven on a short term deal in the rugby league code of the game.
