Long handed two match ban

Hull scrum half Sean Long has been handed a two-match ban following his dismissal in last weekend’s defeat to Castleford.

Long, 34, was found guilty of striking with his elbow in the incident which occurred in the 75th minute at the KC Stadium, not long after he had returned from the sin bin.

The former St Helens half-back pleaded guilty and successfully argued that the offence should be downgraded from Grade D to Grade C, although he was also fined £300.
