London Skolars have signed young hooker Shay North on a one-year deal from Castleford.

The 20-year-old came through Castleford’s academy and will make the move down south for 2020.

Skolars coach Jermaine Coleman said: “We are really excited to have signed Shay.

“He looks very promising and has obviously been in a good system coming from Castleford Tigers.

“I have received some really good feedback on him. He is making the move down to London which shows his commitment. This is going to be an exciting time for him and also a great opportunity to develop his game.”

North added: “I’m really excited for the 2020 season to begin and to work with Jermaine and learn from the likes of Neil Thorman. I will work hard throughout pre-season with the rest of the lads.”
