London Broncos have confirmed that Josh Cordoba will be joining them on a two-year deal for the 2015 season.

The Australian prop has a Spanish passport, and has played over 100 first team games in the NRL and Super League.

His previous clubs include Parramatta Eels, Cronulla Sharks and Hull FC. He is the 14th player confirmed as being part of the Broncos’ plans for next season.

“I’m very happy, as soon as I heard Joey Grima had taken over as coach. I told Ray Nasso to give him my number and call me and within an hour he called me,” said Cordoba.

“I couldn’t be any happier playing under Joey. We spent a couple of years at Parramatta where we were fairly successful, winning a couple of competitions.

“That’s probably one of the main reasons why I wanted to come. I’d like to be part of something and I know what Joey can do as a coach – not only as a coach but in running a club and setting up the way a club should be run.”

Broncos head coach Joey Grima added: “Josh Cordoba is an important signing for us.

“I’ve been fortunate enough to coach Josh at both at the Eels and Sharks. With the professionalism he trains with and the integrity he plays with on the footy field, he’s going to be someone that will lead us around the park.

“With him and Nick Slyney in the front row it gives us such a great foundation.

“Josh brings over a wealth of experience, not only as a rugby league player but as a mature person. He’ll be an asset to our club particularly in our cultural direction.”
