London move Bradford game to new venue

London have been forced to change venue for their second consecutive home game.

Twickenham Stoop is unavailable for the clash with Bradford on Friday 5th April, with it due to host the Harlequins rugby union side’s Heineken Cup quarter-final against Munster on the Sunday.

The game will now be played on Saturday 6th April at Adams Park, home of Wycombe Wanderers football club and rugby union club London Wasps.

It will be the second home game in succession that London have played “on the road”, having played Thursday nights 30-24 defeat against Catalan at Esher rugby union club.

Broncos Chief Executive Gus Mackay said, “Since the Hull FC game we have been working tirelessly to find alternative venues for the Catalan and Bradford games. We have looked at all options including postponement and reversing the fixture, but this is the only option we have.

“We are grateful for Esher Rugby Club for hosting the Catalan game and the supporters that turned out at short notice for this match. However this venue would not be suitable for the visit of Bradford Bulls due to its limited capacity.

“We appreciate our fans inconvenience with the venue changes for the last two games and we are working to ensure this sort of situation doesn’t arise in the future.

“The pitch situation is something that is out of our control and we have been working with the RFL and Harlequins RU to source an alternative venue since last Monday night. We have been reluctant to postpone these fixtures and cause a fixture backlog later in the season.”
