London keep unbeaten home record

London has maintained its perfect home record in the Championship in 2016 with a come from behind 20-12 win over Featherstone.

The Broncos were down 8-0 early but fought back to defeat Rovers at their Ealing home yesterday. London are currently third on the Championship table, one point below leaders Leigh.

Broncos coach Andrew Henderson was delighted with the victory.

“It was a fantastic result, I don’t think we were clinical enough at times,” he said.

“The boys know that too, I have to give the players a rap to not concede in the second half. We had to defend well because we invited Featherstone into our half at times.

“Some of Featherstone’s defence was awesome at times, so fair play to them. They were awesome, and they made life really difficult for us.

“We gave some poor penalties away and that hurt us, when we came out after the second half we didn’t execute well enough but we showed great attitude and endeavour to grind out a win.

“If you’d told me at the start of the season we’d have six wins from eight, I would’ve taken that. We’re on course for our targets, we’re still unbeaten in the league at home and that means a lot to the players.

“We’ve spoken about that as a group but we know we can improve and I can’t fault our defensive effort today”.
