London confirm Moore signing

London have confirmed the signing of Scott Moore, and coach Tony Rea says he will be their starting hooker in 2014.

Moore, 25, left North Queensland Cowboys last week after making six NRL appearances last season.

Rea said: “I think he’s played his best football when he’s been able to sit on a position rather than be juggled

“He’s gone out and grabbed some experience in the NRL so we’re looking to utilise that. I think Scott needs a good season, so it’s a win-win scenario.”

Moore made his Super League debut aged just 16 with St Helens in 2004, and went on to have successful loan spells at Huddersfield and Castleford.

He joined Widnes on a four-year deal in 2012, but was sacked midway through the season, and had a brief second spell with the Giants before moving Down Under.
