London Broncos to start 2021 campaign at Rosslyn Park

London Broncos will start the 2021 season behind closed doors at Rosslyn Park.

The Championship club, who are among the clubs fancied to win promotion to Super League in 2021, left Ealing Trailfinders at the end of last season and hoped to ground-share with AFC Wimbledon at Plough Lane.

The move hinges on a vote by members of the Dons Trust on March 31 and, in the meantime, the Broncos will play home fixtures at Rosslyn Park, where they have already moved their training base.

The Londoners say they had to keep news of the temporary venue under wraps until now due to the Covid approval process implemented by the Rugby Football League.

Their opening game will be a Challenge Cup first-round tie against Keighley next Saturday and Broncos head coach Danny Ward says he is happy with the arrangement.

He said: “It can only be a positive for us to be able to play there.

“It is our training pitch and our first-team base so to be able to play on this surface could be a big advantage for us.”
