London Broncos will ground-share with AFC Wimbledon at Plough Lane this season

London Broncos have re-signed Kiwi centre Paulos Latu for the 2022 Championship campaign.

The 30-year-old has recently been playing for London Skolars. Before that, he had a spell in the French Elite 1 Championship with Limoux, scoring 10 tries in 12 games. He has previously been in the New Zealand Warriors system.

Latu found chances limited with the Broncos in his first spell but got his mojo back whilst with the Skolars. He returns to the Broncos with a point to prove.

Latu said: “Going to the Skolars was a blessing in disguise for me. I got to start enjoying my footy again. Sometimes when you’re playing at competitive levels you forget to slow down and enjoy the journey. That is where I found myself.

“At Skolars, I was given the opportunity to play in the centres where I am most comfortable playing and that was a bonus for me. I hope I can bring an impact on and off the field with the experience I’ve gained in the game.”

Broncos boss delighted to welcome Paulos Latu back to the club

Broncos coach Jermaine Coleman said: “Paulos is a big body and a real handful with ball in hand. His core skills and handling are fantastic. With a full year under his belt I think he will have a big impact on the team.

“I feel he has a score to settle at the Broncos and the fans didn’t get to see the best of him last time around as he was being played out of position. On the edge, in his natural position, I think supporters will be excited about what they see.”

Latu is London’s seventh new signing for 2022. The Broncos have already announced the signatures of Dec O’Donnell (Workington), Brad Foster (Doncaster), Dean Parata (Featherstone), Dan Coates (Newcastle), Iliess Macani (London Skolars) and Lewis Bienek (Castleford).
