London blocked from registering Hickey

London Broncos have been forced to release Jarrad Hickey after hitting the limit of five non-Federation trained players.

Hickey, 26, has been training with the Broncos having spent time at Wakefield last season, but they have been unable to register the Australian due to Super League rules.

A club statement read: “London Broncos have done everything within their means to try to rectify this unfortunate situation without success.

“The club will now work with Jarrad to assist him during this difficult time and continue to explore alternative playing opportunities for him.”

Hickey has previously made more than 70 appearances for Canterbury Bulldogs in the NRL.
