Lineham looking for fortress Hull

Hull FC winger wants Hull FC fans to turn the KC Stadium into a fortress for the rest of the season.

The Airlie Birds have lost four of their home games this season, and Lineham would like to see a return to the indomitable domestic performances of last season.

Hull face Warrington at home on Friday night, and will also play against Castleford, St Helens, Hull KR and Leeds at the KC before the season is out.

“The KC was a real fortress for us last year, but it’s not been the same this year,” the winger told the Hull Daily Mail.

“It was tough at the start of the year because we had a lot of home games, but we weren’t playing our best and we didn’t get the results we’d hope for.

“Now we feel we are playing better, and hopefully with a good crowd behind us, we can make it as tough as possible again for teams to come to the KC and we can start picking up a lot of home wins again.

“It’s the best stadium in the league without a doubt and when it is bouncing it is unbelievable to play there.

“The other side is when it is flat it can be like a morgue and it’s tough. But that’s down to the players.

“The fans pay their money and they want to be entertained so it is down to us to do that.”
