Limited edition Northern Union shirt released

Rugby League supporters can celebrate the England Centenary tour down under in style this autumn by wearing a limited edition replica of the shirt worn by the Northern Union players 100 years ago on their first tour.

The red and white hooped design is a traditional rugby shirt with a classic rugby collar and features a version of the Northern Union Crest on the left breast whilst the PUMA Cat and the Gillette logo are embroidered discreetly on the shirt sleeves.

Phil Williams, RFL Marketing Manager said: “The Northern Union made the decision to play in red and white hoops with black shorts just before the tourists left for Australia in 1910.

“They also played in the same kit on the 1914 tour down under before reverting to an all-white kit which will be more familiar to present-day supporters in 1920.

“I’m sure the limited edition shirt will be popular with supporters and I would recommend pre-ordering as soon as possible so you don’t miss out!”

This limited edition Northern Union Centenary shirt will be available from September 1 and is a must have for Rugby League aficionados who can guarantee their own piece of history by pre-ordering the shirt now at www.rugbyleagueonline.co.uk.
