The Samoan international will take over from previous coach Eddie Harris who stood down in November having spent four years at the helm for the Wizards, taking the side to a National League Grand Final triumph in 2003.

The Wizards claimed third place in last season’s National League Three and will be hoping to challenge the top two of Bramley Buffaloes and Hemel Hempstead Stags in the re-branded competition.

Lima is currently at Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, and also had a spell at Salford City Reds last season, after the Wolves did not renew his contract at the end of the year.

He joined Warrington in 2003 after a spell in the NRL Telstra Premiership with Manly Sea Eagles.
