Lima awarded Lance Todd Trophy

New Zealander Jeff Lima picked up the Lance Todd Trophy this afternoon after helping his Wigan side defeat Leeds with two tries.

Lima was an 80-1 outsider to pick up the trophy going into the game, with many tipping Sam Tomkins to win the award, but his two tries proved vital as Wigan won the Carnegie Challenge Cup 28-18.

Jeff is only the 5th New Zealander to win the coverted award and becomes the 13th Wigan player to lift the trophy, the last being Kris Radlinski in 2002.

Lima signed for the Warriors for the 2011 season from Melbourne Storm and is a New Zealand international, making four appearances for the Kiwis between 2007-2009.
