Liam Walsh released by Widnes

Widnes have confirmed that Liam Walsh has been released from his contract with immediate effect.

Walsh came through the club’s academy and made his first-team for the Vikings int he 2017 Super League season against Leeds.

The youngster made four appearances for Widnes in 2019, and leaves the club with a total of six first-team games under his belt.

In a short statement released by the Vikings, it read: “The club would like to thank Liam for all his hard work during his time at Widnes Vikings, and wish him and his family all the best for the future.”
