Liam Marshall out long-term with ACL injury

Wigan winger Liam Marshall faces up to a year on the sidelines with an ACL injury, coach Adrian Lam has confirmed.

Marshall, 24, limped off in the 30-22 win over Castleford last week and scan results have confirmed the Warriors’ worst fears.

He now faces nine to 12 months out, a sad repeat of an ACL injury Marshall suffered in 2018.

A product of the Wigan St Patricks community club, Marshall has scored 63 tries in 80 first team appearances for the Warriors, as well as finishing as top try scorer in the Championship during a loan spell with Swinton earlier in his career.
